April 21, 2025 - Archbishop's Statement on Marathon Monday

"Yesterday, in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, I had the joy of blessing some of the many thousands of men and women who will run the Boston Marathon today.  I am so grateful for their witness of human determination and endurance.  I rejoice to know that so many of them will endure for the sake of helping others.  I pray that all may successfully complete their run free of injury or harm.  And I hope that it will be a day to celebrate our heritage and the gift of community.  God bless the City of Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the United States of America!"
