WATERTOWN, MA (July 17, 2013) –The CatholicTV Network president, Father Robert Reed, and Massachusetts teen Alexis Grace Richard, will provide live updates throughout World Youth Day from the CatholicTV studios.
World Youth Day (WYD) is a worldwide encounter with the Pope which is typically celebrated every few years in a different country. WYD was celebrated in Madrid from August 16th to 21st, 2011, and this year WYD will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil starting with the Pope’s arrival on July 22, 2013.
In addition to coverage provided by Father Reed and Alexis Grace, Emily Abi-Kheirs, a student from the Archdiocese of Boston, will be the CatholicTV Network’s embedded reporter in Rio. Coverage will be augmented from user-submitted pictures, tweets, and videos submitted by using the hashtag #CTVWYD13 on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
