June 12, 2014 - The CatholicTV Network to Broadcast the Documentary, The Francis Effect*

WATERTOWN, MA (June 12, 2014) The CatholicTV Network will broadcast a new documentary from Salt and Light media, The Francis Effect, on Monday, June 16 at 10:15PM. The Francis Effect will rebroadcast on The CatholicTV Network on Thursday, June 19 at 5PM ET and on Saturday, June 21 at 3:30AM. 

The Francis Effect takes a critical and in-depth look at how an ancient institution is rapidly changing under the leadership and vision of Pope Francis, and exclusive interviews with prominent Catholics and non-Catholics reveal that Francis is having a profound effect on the world as well.

On February 11, 2013, Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation sent shockwaves through the Catholic Church. One month later, after only five ballots, the Cardinals elected Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Archbishop of Buenos Aires as the 266th Pope of the Catholic Church.  He would be called Francis.
