March 26, 2015, WATERTOWN, Mass. – Throughout the month of April, CatholicTV premieres three new series including, “Catholics Come Home” from ; The Lens, a CatholicTV production, as well as “The Gospel of Mark” from KNXT TV in Fresno, CA.
Catholics Come Home is a series of 13, half-hour episodes that explore the stories of 13 different people that “come home” to the Catholic faith after discovering the Catholics Come Home campaign. The host, Tom Peterson, conducts individual interviews in each episode and takes the viewer on a journey of how the individuals fell and came back to the faith. The episodes will include interviews with former, atheists, agnostics, Protestant Catholics and fallen-away Catholics. “The Catholics Come Home television series helps us all to understand the teachings of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, when He urges us to rescue even just one lost sheep… We are blessed to share this new series with the audience of CatholicTV” says Peterson. The Lens is a brand-new CatholicTV production that looks at the world through a Catholic Lens and the engagement of social media. The host of the show, Matt Weber is frequent guest on CatholicTV with his appearance in various Blink segments and host to “A Word with Weber.” Co-host, Helen Lee the social media guru of CatholicTV, and Weber mix humor and substance in a way that is sure to not only inform but also entertain. The show will air for the first time on Sunday, April 5th at 11:30 p.m.
CatholicTV also welcomes “The Gospel of Mark” a series to unpack and discover the meaning of Mark’s gospel in our lives. This season of “Gospel of Mark” specifically looks at the readings of the current liturgical year. Host, Jim Grant, features special guests including Father Mike Listiri and Dr. Robert Maldonaldo.
