Affordable mixed-income housing development opens first 24 townhomes in Mattapan 76-unit development
Cardinal Seán O’Malley greeted the first new residents of Cote Village, a transit-oriented development that will create 76 new mixed-income homes, as well as new commercial and community spaces, in the heart of Mattapan.
The residents of the first 24 townhomes were greeted with welcome gift bags, sponsored by Bank of America, containing gift cards and flower arrangements donated by Roche Bros. The Cote Village Development team of The Planning Office for Urban Affairs, Inc. and the Caribbean Integration Community Development transformed the site of the former Cote Ford car dealership, a property that had been vacant for decades. The developers will plan a ribbon cutting ceremony upon completion of the remaining 51 units in late Spring 2022, in which City and State elected officials, funders, and team members will join the developers in celebrating.
