Ecuadorian Community Prays for Disaster Relief Amid National Crisis

When: Sunday 8 May at 9:30 am Where: Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington Street, Boston This liturgy will gather members of the Greater Boston community to pray for victims of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Ecuador. Following this natural disaster, people on the ground lack critical resources while the death toll rose to 660. In addition to great loss of life, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reports 23 missing persons, nearly 7,000 destroyed buildings and 560 affected schools, with 166 of them suffering medium to severe damage. Today, 22,754 people remain in emergency shelters.
