May 9, 2025 - Archbishop to Celebrate Mass for Pope Leo XVI

On Wednesday evening, May 14, at 7:00PM, at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, there will be a Mass offered for Pope Leo XIV.

Following is the Archbishop's invitation to that Mass, below, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

English Version:
Archbishop Richard Henning invites the clergy, religious and lay faithful to gather at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston on Wednesday May 14th at 7:00 PM for a Mass in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. This Holy Mass, on the Feast of the Apostle Matthias, will be offered for Pope Leo XIV and give all the opportunity to give thanks to God for His providential care of the Church and the gift of our new Holy Father. It will also be an opportunity to pray that God may grant health, strength, and wisdom to Pope Leo as he undertakes his ministry to the Universal Church.

El Arzobispo Richard Henning invita al clero, a los religiosos y a todos los laicos a participar en una Santa Misa en la Catedral de la Santa Cruz, en Boston, el miércoles 14 de mayo a las 7:00 p.m. La celebración será trilingüe: en inglés, español y portugués.
Esta Santa Misa, en la fiesta del Apóstol San Matías, será ofrecida por el Papa León XIV y será una oportunidad para darle gracias a Dios por su cuidado providencial de la Iglesia y por el don de nuestro nuevo Santo Padre. También será un momento de oración, pidiendo a Dios que conceda salud, fortaleza y sabiduría al Papa León en el ejercicio de su ministerio al frente de la Iglesia Universal.

O Arcebispo Richard Henning convida o clero, os religiosos e os fiéis leigos a participarem de uma Santa Missa na Catedral da Santa Cruz, em Boston, na quarta-feira, 14 de maio, às 19h. A celebração será trilingue: em inglês, espanhol e português.
A Missa, celebrada na festa do Apóstolo São Matias, será oferecida pelo Papa Leão XIV e será uma ocasião para render graças a Deus por sua providência na condução da Igreja e pelo dom do nosso novo Santo Padre. Também será um momento de oração, pedindo a Deus que conceda saúde, força e sabedoria ao Papa Leão no exercício de seu ministério à Igreja Universal.
