Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston and President of The CatholicTV Network, Bishop Robert Reed, will be leading the Day of Penance and Prayer. Bishop Reed reflected, “This twelve-hour period is just a tiny offering. I pray this effort will, by God’s grace, serve to make some difference by focusing our attention on the presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist in the midst of these difficult times.”
The CatholicTV Network announced on November 6, 2018 its launch of a 6-month initiative called Together We Rebuild in response to the sexual abuse crisis in the Catholic Church. Culminating on Easter Sunday 2019, CatholicTV’s Together We Rebuild Campaign will focus on penance and prayer for the healing and restoration of the Church. Each month of the campaign will be guided by a theme related to rebuilding and will include corresponding programming and resources such as video series, blogs, magazine articles, and social media initiatives.
