Pope Francis has declared that “the only solution to the migration crisis is solidarity.” He appeals to “dioceses, parishes, religious institutes, organizations and individual Christians: we are all called to welcome our brothers and sisters who are fleeing war, hunger, violence and cruel conditions of life” (General Audience, 10/26/2016).
Participants will be presented the facts about Refugees and Immigrants, learn more about the integral linkages between Catholic Social Teaching and care for Migrants, gather information about what activities are already underway – globally, nationally, locally, identify what more needs to be done and in particular, reflect/ponder/decide what specific, practical actions parishioners can take in witness to their faith.
