Business Manager (FT), St. Isidore Parish, Lakeville, Middleboro and Rochester, MA.
St. Isidore Parish in Lakeville, Middleboro and Rochester is currently looking for a full-time Business Manager to join their team. The Business Manager assists the Pastor in fulfilling his responsibility for the management of staff, administration of the parish properties, and cemetery of the parish. This position is responsible for ensuring proper stewardship of the financial, facility, and human resources. For this position you would need to work in the parish office in Middleboro.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Management
Manages bookkeeping functions including, but not limited to, payables, receivables, journal entries, and payroll.
Handle bank relations including management of accounts, reconciliations, and allocating transactions between the parish and cemetery, prepare for audits.
Consistent with parish financial reporting requirements, prepare budgets, annual reports, interim reports, general ledgers, allocation summaries and other management reports, offering financial strategies and recommendations.
Direct purchasing procedures within the dollar limits set by the Pastor.
In consultation with the Pastor and Finance Council, develop, implement, and administer Archdiocesan policies and guidelines.
Personnel Management
Manages the payment of salaries and benefits.
Directs the management of the parish office.
Responsible for receiving and addressing parish staff concerns.
Implement Archdiocesan human resource, benefits and personnel policies for staff.
Buildings and Grounds Management
Act as liaison between the Pastor, the Archdiocesan Property Management Department, and the Risk Management Department.
Manages custodial maintenance functions.
Oversees security for parish.
Oversees the use of parish facilities.
General
Attend meetings relative to the role, as necessary, including Parish Finance Council, archdiocesan business managers meetings, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in business, accounting, or related field, with 7+ years related accounting experience or equivalent preferred.
Understand and support the mission of the Catholic Church and its effort.
Participation in the RCAB Finance & Operations Certificate Program within two years of hire date.
Experience handling confidential, sensitive matters with tact, respect, and discretion required.
Demonstrated experience in finance and accounting, Intacct experience preferred.
Knowledgeable about safety and security and human resource issues preferred.
Demonstrated experience in appropriate computer technology skills; must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
Experience administering payroll is preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A strong service orientation is critical.

Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 8 hours/day.
Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
