Development Coordinator (FT), Boston Catholic Development Services
Serves in a key support function as part of the fundraising team for the Archdiocese of Boston:
Supports the fundraising team to ensure the successful implementation of the annual Catholic Appeal fundraising campaign in the parishes of the Archdiocese of Boston.
Supports the Leadership and Major Gift Officers in their efforts to cultivate and steward relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Catholic Appeal
Supports the fundraising team to ensure the successful implementation of the annual Catholic Appeal.
Meets with pastors and appeal coordinators in parishes throughout the archdiocese and is in regular communication to ensure they are adequately resourced ensuring that all parishes have the tools and are appropriately trained and equipped to conduct the campaign.
Generates regular lists and reports.
Assists in the coordination and implementation of training sessions and other events.
Supports the Appeal manager with administrative tasks.
Leadership and Major Gifts
Provides support to gift officers to assist them in moving prospects and donors through the giving cycle from discovery to cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
Supports and attends the regular meetings of this group, and prepares agendas, notes, and distributes minutes.
Maintains accurate and organized filing systems, both electronic and physical, for donor records and team documents.
Drafts correspondence as needed, such as emails/letters/stewardship documents, etc.
Assists in the preparation of donor briefings, including researching donor history, preferences, and philanthropic interests.
Tracks and manages follow-up tasks related to donor interactions to ensure timely and thoughtful engagement.
Updates and maintains donor records in the customer relationship management (CRM) database, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Generates reports and dashboards to support fundraising efforts and monitor progress toward goals.
Assists with data entry as appropriate.
Supports the team in the coordination and execution of donor meetings and events.
Assists with other administrative and operational tasks as needed, less than 10 hours a week.

Qualifications and Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Comfort learning and working with Raiser’s Edge and a variety of databases and reports
Strong work ethic and attention to detail, highly responsive and results-driven
Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to eight hours a day
Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Church
