Director for Development, Youth Ministry and Parish Socials (PT), St. Isidore Parish, Lakeville, Mid

St. Isidore Parish in Lakeville, Middleboro and Rochester is currently seeking a part-time "Director for Development, Youth Ministry and Parish Socials.” This is a 20 hour a week position. In view of our overall vision on evangelization, discipleship and fellowship, the Director for Development, Youth Ministry and Parish Socials will be responsible for implementing development strategies, pursuing opportunities in youth ministry, and executing parish social events.
Reporting to the Pastor, the Director will be responsible for achieving the parish’s goals and engaging sponsors in youth and parish activities. This includes leveraging key relationships and contacts within and outside of the parish community. The Director works in concert with staff and ministry leaders. This position requires a creative individual with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement annual development plan and strategy- in collaboration with the pastor and the appropriate Archdiocesan offices.
• Develop goals and objectives for the creation of a vibrant Youth Ministry.
• Plan and coordinate youth events and fundraisers (e.g. trips, service opportunities).
• Be visible, available, and accessible to youth and parents, by participating in the life and activities of the parish and by communicating with youth and families regularly via Flocknote, church bulletin, announcements, and social media.
• Coordinate with pastor, pastoral associate to involve youth in liturgy and parish ministries.
• Develop goals and objectives for parish social life.
• Plan and coordinate parish events and fundraisers (trips, service opportunities, parish bazaar, VBS, BBQs, etc.)
• Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets to inform and engage interest in parish activities
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate and foundation sponsors, area businesses and individual donors
• Write grant proposals and reports to corporate entities and foundations parish programs
• Explore opportunities for the parish to participate in local civic events (Arts Festival, Krazy Days, etc.) in the communities she serves
• Develop and implement comprehensive publicity, marketing, and public relations strategy
• Present goals and results on a regular basis to pastor, Councils, and staff.

Qualifications

• Love of the Catholic faith and knowledge of the Church’s Teachings,
• Passion for evangelizing and accompanying youth and young adults.
• Ability to work with the diverse group of people and personalities that make up a parish.
• Highly organized, able to multi-task and remain flexible.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Flocknote, and Parish Soft (ability to be trained).
• Knowledge of social media and of current trends and issues within youth culture.
• Experience planning and hosting events.
• Experience speaking in front of groups of teens and adults.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have current driver’s license.
• Experience with youth ministry preferred.
• Degree in Theology, Ministry or a related field and/or a certificate in ministry or theology from a Catholic institution is preferred. Willing to consider candidates with relevant experience

Physical Performance Elements:

• Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 8 hours/day.
• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day.
• Ability to lift up 20 pounds.
