Director of Music (FT), Hingham Catholic Collaborative, Hingham, MA

The Hingham Catholic Collaborative is currently seeking a Full-Time Director of Music to serve our thriving faith community at both Resurrection and St Paul, assist with school liturgies and teach music at Saint Paul School. Our goal is to offer active, and spiritually enriching worship, in which congregants young and old are participating fully in prayer and song.     

The Director of Music’s primary responsibility is to schedule and conduct music coverage for weekend liturgical services, Holy Days, weddings, funerals, and special events.  In addition, there are a broad range of music opportunities available to the interested candidate. The Mass schedule requiring coverage is Saturday 4 PM, and Sunday 9:30AM, 10 AM, and 11:30 AM

Secondly, as Saint Paul School’s music teacher, this individual would work with grades preschool through 8 in teaching general music and choir. S/he would collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that opportunities for deep learning occur throughout the curriculum. Also, the ideal candidate would provide students with a rigorous level of music education while fostering the innate joy that accompanies making music within community. Weekly responsibilities on Mondays and Thursdays include instructing the school choir before school and preparing students for liturgy and special events.
