Facility Technician (PT), Blesed Sacrament Parish and School, Walpole, MA.
Blessed Sacrament Parish and School is currently looking for a Facility Technician to join their team. This role is for someone who wishes to blend their talents with their willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Church. This is a part-time, Monday-Friday, 20-hours a week position.
The facility technician is/will be:
Responsible for the smooth functioning of the physical plant located at 10 Diamond Street and 808 East Street, Walpole MA.
Responsible for day-to-day operations, upkeep, and repairs of the grounds and 3 buildings: Parish, parish office, school.
Requires robust physical ability, and must bend, stoop, climb, lift heavy objects, etc.
Self-motivated and pro-active with duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Walk-through: Regular weekly inspections of buildings/grounds to identify and resolve maintenance and safety issues.
Upkeep/Repairs: Have knowledge of and implement maintenance and repairs of various types, to buildings and grounds.
Maintenance: Ensure repairs and janitorial needs are met.
Records & Logs: Log all daily activity, equipment performance, maintenance scheduling, service contracts, permits, licenses, building capacity, etc.
Compliance: Implement Archdiocese safety codes and OSHA compliance rules – OSHA certificationis a plus.
Procurement/Warranties: Procure parts and equipment, manage equipment warranties.
Permits & Municipalities: Interact with local municipal officials to ensure permits and licenses are in order, and maintain up to date contact information with fire, police, alarm/security systems, and other vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in facility and supervisory management.
Knowledge: Knowledgeable of computer software, electric, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
Codes: Knowledgeable of safety codes at State and Federal levels.
