Giving Alms
'Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.' (Matthew 25:34-36)
    Giving time, talent, and treasure is an important component of being a Catholic today.  We live in a world which is often materialistic and in which the needs of the poor are often overlooked.  Helping those in need can be done on a local level, but we cannot forget the needs of our brothers and sisters around the world who live in poverty and unjust conditions.  Here are some opportunities to learn more about the plight of people on a national and international level and to find opportunities to donate to a variety of important causes.
