Fr. Robert Reed, President of the CatholicTV Network said of Pope John Paul II, “It all began with the banners and shouts from the crowd at his funeral, a call that he be declared a saint and quickly. After an initial investigation, a miracle was credited to his intercession. The Church stands ready to receive Pope John Paul II as a blessed model for the heroic living of the Christian Faith. For me, as a student in Rome during the days when the Polish-born Pope was vibrant and in his prime, he was and always will be a powerful example for me both as a Christian man and certainly as a priest in contemporary society.”
