The CatholicTV Network to Broadcast Special Holy Week Schedule
WATERTOWN, MA (April 9, 2014) The CatholicTV Network will provide special broadcasts during Holy Week from the Vatican, the Archdiocese of Boston, the Archdiocese of Washington, and the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
The Following is the CatholicTV Network’s Holy Week Broadcast
Schedule:
Palm Sunday, April 13
The blessing of the Palms, Procession and Holy Mass with Pope Francis will air live at 3:30AM and will rebroadcast at 11:30AM and 9PM ET.
Father Robert Reed will celebrate Mass on CW56 at 7AM ET (rebroadcast on CatholicTV at 7PM). Mass from the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame will air at 10AM ET. Mass from San Antonio’s San Fernando Cathedral will air in Spanish at 4PM.
Tuesday, April 15
The Chrism Mass from Boston's Cathedral of the Holy Cross with His Eminence, Seán Cardinal O’Malley, will broadcast live at live at 11Am and will rebroadcast at 8PM ET.
Holy Thursday, April 17
The Vatican Chrism Mass will broadcast live at 3:30AM and will rebroadcast at 11AM ET, Holy Hour from the Church of Gethsemane, Jerusalem will air live at 2PM and will rebroadcast at 10PM. The Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper from Cathedral of the Holy Cross will air live at 7:30PM ET with Cardinal Seán.
Good Friday, April 18
The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion with Pope Francis from St. Peter’s Basilica will air live at 11AM and will rebroadcast at 5PM ET. The Liturgy of Good Friday with Cardinal O’Malley from the Cathedral of the Holy Cross will broadcast live at 3PM ET and will rebroadcast at 10PM. Stations of the Cross with Pope Francis from the Colosseum in Rome will air at 8PM ET.
Holy Saturday, April 19
The Vatican Easter Vigil will air live at 2:30PM ET (rebroadcast at midnight); Mass in the National Basilica from Washington, D.C. will air at 7PM and 11:30PM. The Easter Vigil with His Eminence, Seán Cardinal O’Malley, will air live at 8:30PM.
Easter Sunday, April 20
Celebrate the Risen Lord with Pope Francis live at 4:15AM ET and will rebroadcast at 12PM and 9PM ET. The Papal Easter Blessing will air live at 6AM, and will rebroadcast at 11AM, 6PM, and 8PM ET. Mass with Cardinal Seán on the CW56 will air at 7AM ET (rebroadcast on CatholicTV at 7PM); Notre Dame’s Easter Sunday Mass will air live at 10AM. The Easter Mass from San Antonio will air at 4PM.
