Four New Trustees Appointed to Catholic Community Fund Board

Will Provide Oversight for Inspiring Hope Capital Campaign
Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley, OFM Cap, announced today the appointment of four new Trustees to the board of the Catholic Community Fund of the Archdiocese of Boston, Inc. (“Catholic Community Fund” or “CCF”), the Church’s community foundation. They are:

James P. Healey, Trustee, The Yawkey Foundations, Dedham MA
Mr. Healey, who has extensive experience in not-for-profit and foundation giving/administration, is a Trustee of the Yawkey Foundations, where he was president until retiring from that post in December 2019. He was previously affiliated with the Boston Red Sox organization for many years, where he served in various roles including as Vice President for Broadcasting and Special Projects. Mr. Healey is a graduate of Boston College. Formerly a longtime resident of Sharon, where he was a parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows, he and his family now split their time between Cape Cod and Florida.

Kevin P. Martin, Jr., CPA, MST, Managing Director, KPM/Kevin P. Martin & Associates, Braintree MA
With more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, Mr. Martin has led KPM through a period of significant growth and expansion focusing on client satisfaction and retention. Actively involved in the not-for-profit and affordable housing industries, he works to advance the missions of his clients. He has been involved with many area nonprofit organizations, having served on the boards of The Arthritis Foundation-New England, Irish International Immigrant Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, and the Boston Children’s Chorus. He graduated from Bentley College with a BS degree in Accounting and an MST degree in Taxation. Mr. Martin earned a Master of Arts in Ministry (Theology) from Saint John Seminary and is a permanent ordained deacon of the Archdiocese of Boston. He resides with his family in Milton, where they are active parishioners at The Visitation Collaborative.

Jerome F. Meier, MBA, Strategy and Operations Consultant, Health Business Group, Boston MA
Mr. Meier has held a number of senior strategic and operating roles in international business including working throughout Latin America for The Boston Consulting Group; improving operating performance of large natural resource companies in North and South America and Australia as a Principal at Partners in Performance; serving as Vice President, Global Business Develop and Strategy at Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Akeso Biomedical. Mr. Meier earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from MIT and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School. He and his family reside in Newtonville and are parishioners at Saint Ignatius, Chestnut Hill.

Stephanie Monaghan O’Brien, JD, Investment Professional, Morningside Technology Advisory, LLC, Newton, MA
Ms. O’Brien has been affiliated for more than 23 years with Morningside Technology where she is focused on financing, building and launching start-up companies in the biotech sector and the technology sector. Ms. O’Brien has extensive experience as a member of both public and private company boards. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University and is a graduate of NYU School of Law and a member of the Massachusetts Bar. She and her family reside in Newton where they are parishioners at Sacred Heart Parish.

Cardinal Seán expressed his gratitude at these appointments confirming that these individuals “add significantly to the already great breadth of talent and expertise around this board table.” He pointed further to the “great importance” of the role they undertake in overseeing the Inspiring Hope capital campaign, saying that “their oversight will engender the confidence of our donors and those considering participating in the campaign. It is also gratifying to have this opportunity to bring more lay leadership into a direct role in the work of the Archdiocese.”
