Between July 20th and 27th, millions of youth from around the world will congregate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for World Youth Day with Pope Francis.
Cardinal Seán and more than 160 youth and adults from the Archdiocese of Boston, led by the Office for the New Evangelization of Youth and Young Adults, will be joining them -- and through the power of new media, you can too.
As they did in 2011 in Madrid, the Pilot New Media team will bring you live coverage of World Youth Day at WYDRioBoston.com through photos, recorded videos, blogs, and live streaming video. Our team will provide constant updates, sometimes daily, and often as they happen in real-time.
You can also follow them on Facebook.com/BostonCatholic, BostonCatholicPhotos.com, BostonCatholicLive.com, and YouTube.com/BostonCatholic.
Media note: photos will be available at BostonCatholicPhotos.com (Flickr.com/BostonCatholic) and may be used under a Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivatives license. The photo credit should be listed as "George Martell/Pilot New Media".
Our pilgrims who post to their own social media accounts will also be encouraged to use the hashtag #WYDBOS on whatever social network they're using.
Experience the amazing power of World Youth Day to transform hearts and minds and be a part of the wonder as a virtual pilgrim with us at WYDRioBoston.com.
