The Catholic Appeal provides needed funding to the many ministries that serve our parishes, schools, community programs and other affiliated organizations throughout the Archdiocese. These ministries enable the Catholic community to carry the Gospel into people’s lives and assist in reaching out to those in need.
Cardinal Seán P. O'Malley said, “Faith guides us to discover the purpose of our existence, our mission here. As a community of faith, we all participate in the mission Jesus entrusts to us: to share the good news and support our brothers and sisters. It is my hope that everyone will consider a contribution for the 2018 Catholic Appeal to help advance that work here in our Archdiocese.”

Most Reverend Peter J. Uglietto, STD, Auxiliary Bishop of Boston, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia said, “The parishes, schools and ministries of the Archdiocese of Boston are blessed by the generous contributions of parishioners who support the Catholic Appeal. As good stewards of their gifts, we take our responsibility seriously to evangelize and strengthen our parish communities. I am particularly grateful to our priests, religious, deacons and laity for their commitment to serving the people of God and leading the Appeal effort at the parish level.”
Kathleen Driscoll, Secretary for Institutional Advancement, said, “We are so appreciative of the great support of our priests and parishioners who go above and beyond each year in support of the Catholic Appeal. This helps us to support parishes, schools, programs and ministries that are essential to the mission of the Church. Under the leadership of Cardinal Seán we have been able to grow the Catholic Appeal year to year and therefore are in a strong position to help sustain many important ministries of the Church.”
The Catholic Appeal supports ministry and programs in 286 parishes and 116 schools.
