Cardinal Seán will again celebrate Pentecost Vigil Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Boston on Saturday, May 23rd. The Mass will take place at 4pm in the Church, and there will be a reception following in the lower church.
From his June 12, 2011 Pastoral Letter on Pentecost the Cardinal writes, "Christ’s Church were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to boldly proclaim the Gospel, which means Good News."
The Liturgy of the Vigil is beautifully moving. We will hear the readings and prayers of the Mass in many languages, and the music that is sung reflects the different cultures represented in our Archdiocese. It is an experience of grace and renewal as we pray for the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
