(Braintree, Mass.) May 25, 2012…The Archdiocese of Boston today announced that it has placed Rev. Joseph F. Byrne on an administrative leave of absence as a result of receiving an allegation of sexual abuse of a child. Fr. Byrne is a Senior Priest with limited ministry in parishes in the Falmouth area on Cape Cod. The allegation concerns conduct alleged to have occurred in the early-1970s and was only recently reported to the Archdiocese.

This original three-part mini-series called "Fatima for Today: the Urgent Marian Message" hosted by Father Andrew Apostoli is based on his book by the same name.

It was announced this week that the Gabriel Award for “Religious Television Station of the Year” will be awarded to two nationally recognized Catholic television networks by the Catholic Academy for Communications Arts Professionals (CACAP).  The CatholicTV® Network will receive the honor this year as “Religious Television Station of the Year” alongside the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN). The CatholicTV Network was honored as the “Religious Television Station of the Year” in 2010 as well.
